Summer (Jun–Aug)
  • Hot and humid, 90s°F with heat index over 100°F
  • Daily afternoon thunderstorms (usually 3–5 PM, lasting 30–60 min)
  • Pack rain ponchos, stay hydrated, plan indoor activities during peak heat
  • Water parks are most enjoyable this time of year

Tip: Thunderstorms clear the parks — ride wait times drop dramatically during and right after rain.

Fall (Sep–Nov)
  • September is still summer-hot; October starts cooling down
  • November is one of the best months to visit (mild, low crowds)
  • Hurricane season peaks September–October
  • EPCOT Food & Wine Festival makes fall extra special
⚠️ Hurricane Season
  • Season: June 1 – November 30
  • Peak months: August–October
  • WDW has excellent severe weather protocols — parks rarely close
  • Disney typically offers rebooking/cancellation flexibility during named storms

Tip: Don't let hurricane season scare you off — the odds of a direct hit are very low, and Disney handles weather extremely well.

What to Pack for the Weather
  • Summer: sunscreen, hats, ponchos, cooling towels, water bottles
  • Winter: light jacket, layers, closed-toe shoes for chilly mornings
  • All year: rain ponchos (afternoon storms happen year-round)
Pool Info
  • Feature pools at Deluxe resorts are typically heated year-round
  • Value/Moderate pools may not be heated in winter
  • Water parks close seasonally (one closes while the other is open)
  • Best pool months: May–September
